Three players from Hamilton and Halton. One indoor home at Players Paradise. A season that keeps a table, books a real referee, and finishes what it starts.
I played in a league that folded in week six.
Everybody had paid. Nobody got a table, nobody got a final, and the group chat just went quiet. Six weeks out of the fifteen we had paid for, and then nothing. No last game, no final night, nothing to point at afterwards and say that happened.
I was in my twenties and it was the only twelve weeks a year I looked forward to. Somebody took that and did nothing with it, and I have never got over how small a thing it would have been for them to just finish the season they started.
What was missingThe players were always here. Every field in Hamilton is full on a summer night and you cannot book a gym after seven. What is missing is not talent, it is structure: leagues that start on time, keep a table, book a real referee, and finish what they started.
Nobody is owed that. Somebody has to build it.
What we built firstSo the boring parts were written first. The rules, the conduct code, the appeals process and the refund terms are all on this site, published before anybody was asked for a dollar, because the league I lost never wrote any of it down. If a call goes against you there is a process. If your season cannot go ahead, the terms say what happens to your money. None of that is a promise you have to take on trust: it is a page you can read.
One homeThen the venue. Every season is played at Players Paradise in Stoney Creek: indoor turf, one address, the same Saturday every week. Fifteen Saturdays, a certified referee on every one, every game recorded, and a bracket that every team makes. Twelve regular fixtures, three weeks of playoffs, one final.
That is the whole idea. Pickup is casual. A season is real.
Written down before a dollar was asked for
01
7v7 on indoor turf, fifty minutes, rolling subs, a certified referee on every game.
02
What gets a card, what gets a ban, and who decides. The same for every team.
03
A call goes against you, you file an appeal, you get a ruling in writing.
04
If a season cannot go ahead, your fee becomes credit toward a future one. It says so in writing.
